Organisation Profile
Medical Practitioners with Full Registration in Trinidad & Tobago
constitute the Medical Board of Trinidad & Tobago. Every three (3) years
elections are held to determine our four (4) nominees to be appointed by the Minister of Health.
MBTT is subject to the Medical Act 0f 1960
Annual Retention Fee
Please be advised that the Annual Retention Fee for 2010 is due on 1st January 2010
and payments can be made directly to the Medical Board's Office or mailed.
The fee for the ARF is TT$300.00. After March 31st, a penalty of $100.00 will be applied
for every year the ARF has not been paid. All physicians holding full and temporary registration with MBTT must make payments
for the Annual Retention Fee (ARF). Payments can be made by LINX, Master Card, VISA, Cheque and Bank Drafts.
These new fees became effective on the 7th July 2006.
Overseas MBTT members
Doctors who are fully registered with MBTT and who are currently practicing outside of Trinidad & Tobago are required
to notify the Medical Board. Complete the Notification of Emigration Form
and submit it to the Board's office
Graduates Of St.George's University
St. Georges's University School of Medicine will now be considered a Traditional
Medical School by our organization. As a result, graduates of St. George's University will
now be entitled to automatic Provisional Registration. If such an applicant desires further registration
beyond the point of the internship period, then such an applicant will be entitled to three (3) years
of Temporary Registration, before consideration of Full Registration,(effective 7th June 2006).
Graduates Of the University of Guyana
Council agreed to register graduates from the University of Guyana,
qualifying from 2009 to 2012 without further examinations.
As a result, graduates of the University of Guyana will
now be entitled to automatic Provisional Registration. If such an applicant desires further registration
beyond the point of the internship period, then such an applicant will be entitled to three (3) years
of Temporary Registration, before consideration of Full Registration, (effective 12th May 2010).
