Purpose: This study explores the understanding, attitudes, and practices of medical students and doctors in Trinidad and Tobago regarding artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. AI has the potential to revolutionize healthcare by improving diagnostic accuracy, streamlining administrative processes, and enhancing patient outcomes. However, challenges such as high costs, limited knowledge, and ethical concerns hinder its adoption. The study aims to identify these barriers and assess the readiness of healthcare professionals for AI integration, thereby providing data-driven insights to support its effective implementation in the local healthcare system.
