Entry of full name and registration number on prescriptions, medical documents & insurance forms

Council of MBTT has noted that there have been increasing cases of fraud relative to Sick Leave Certificates, Prescriptions, Medical Reports and Insurance Forms purportedly prepared and/completed by doctors.

In order to minimise the risk of fraud, Council strongly encourages doctors, when preparing and/or issuing prescriptions, medical documents, or completing insurance forms, to ensure that your full name AND your registration number are legibly stated.

Doctors are encouraged to immediately report any suspicion of such medical fraud to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
